Ivory Crockett, also known as the "Fastest Man Alive," was an American sprinter who competed in the 1950s and 1960s. He was born on November 20, 1934, in Joplin, Missouri, and began running track in high school.

Crockett won numerous championships and set multiple records during his career, including the NCAA 100-yard dash record in 1954. In 1956, he was a member of the United States Olympic team and placed fifth in the 100-meter dash in the Melbourne Games.

After retiring from running, Crockett worked as a physical education teacher and coach. He also became a motivational speaker and worked to inspire young people to pursue their dreams.
